1. I am Post Graduate in Physics with Specialization in Electronic, retired as Dy. Advisor (QoS), Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. I have 40 years of experience in the field of Telecommunications, of which 8 years are spent in TRAI, 28 years in Northern Railway and remaining 4 years period with Telecom Industry.2. During my tenure in TRAI from March 2002 to July 2010, I handled all QoS related issues pertaining to Basic Telephone, Mobile Telephone and Broadband services.I remained instrumental in bringing out the QoS regulations for Basic, Mobile & Broadband services and Regulations on Telecom Consumers Protection & Grievance Redressal and the consultation papers on various QoS related issues.3. Before joining TRAI, I served Northern Railway from 1974 to 2002 (28 years) and took retirement from the post of Sr. Telecom Engineer (Micro Wave) in year 2002. Being in charge of Microwave LAB at New Delhi, I was responsible for Maintenance and repairs of Microwave Equipments, Multiplexing equipment and other allied equipments of various make installed over N. Rly. 4. I have been awarded seven awards for my outstanding performance during my services in Railways.5. After retirement as Dy. Advisor (TRAI) , I remained with TCIL as Consultant during the year 2010-11. In March 2011, I joined Association of Competitive Telecom Operators (ACTO) as Director and worked there till October 2013. During my stay woth ACTO, I handled various Regulatory issues pertaining to the National Long Distantce , International Long Distance and Internet Service Providers with DoT, TRAI and other Government and Industry bodies. 6. In November , 2013 , I joined M/s TUV-SUD South Asia Pvt Ltd. New Delhi (A German Company) as Advisor- Telecom Services .7. I have attended various professional training's and seminars in India and abroad . The countries travelled are Australia, Sri lanka, Indonesia, UK, Dubai and Singapore.
