The main responsibilities includes:- Coordination with the Central Planner for vessel stowage, CBF and any/all vessel related issues. Liasoning with the terminal authorities/co-loaders and have the vessel plan approved from the terminal for faster turnaround of vessels.  Setting up / reviewing SOP’s on a regular basis for efficient equipment control and better control on import/export movements.  Representing Mitsui OSK Lines in daily port meetings and in meetings with other government agencies such as Customs and Concor. Active usage of Power Stow for vessel planning stowage provided by the central planner. Act as a active hub between the commercial desks and terminal authorities and ensure priorities/deadlines are effectively met with.

Responsible for the entire vessel operations which includes :- Optimizing utilization/planning for all vessel’s calling under EPIC, INDAMEX and GALAX services at JNPT/NSICT. Close monitoring of vendor performance. Equipment Management Cost Management Implement standard operating procedures for smooth operations. Liasoning with various authorities viz. Port, Vessel Operators etc.

Vessel & ICD Supervisor/Vessel Planner  To supervise / ensure deployment of sufficient equipments such as RTG’s/ QC’s/ and RMG’s for efficient handling of vessel operations.  Deployment of sufficient labour /equipments with following concerns :- Berth productivity including the berthing and un-berthing of vessels Gate activity Yard planning  Intermodal operations (Railroad) including inter terminal rail handling operations. Documentation  HSE and port security requirements Was awarded as “Employee of the Month” for achieving an all time record of handling of two trains (ICD) i.e 180 teus in 35 minutes.  Well versed with vessel planning in NAVIS:SPARC/EXPRESS.

 Functionally responsible for the efficient and cost-effective management of import/export cargo which included monitoring export carting, stuffing and timely movement of containers in to the port for onward shipment within cut-off time. Liasoning with the vessel planner, terminal authorities/co-loaders and have the vessel plan approved from the terminal for faster turnaround of vessels.  Above all, to play as a ‘service provider’ for internal/external customers and suggest /implement efficient work practices. Was deputed to NPN yard, a consortium private yard of NOL, P&O, and NYK wherein the major job responsibilities included intake, stacking of export containers weight & port wise and intimating the respective shipping lines of the same. Liasoning with shipping lines and vessel regarding exports pre-stowage, planning the ship, liasoning with port authorities, giving instructions regarding sequence of discharge and loading liaising with contractors. Achieved record performance in our consortium vessels. Achieved the highest average crane productivity of 26.50 moves per hour, which is still in records of the terminal ( JNP) during my tenure in NPN yard.

 During my tenure in Marine Forwarding Corp, I was responsible for Stevedoring operations for main shipping lines at BPT (Maersk, Sealand, OOCL, ULA, NOL, J.M.Baxi, Lloyd Triestino).
