As a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta, I am passionate about advancing the science and practice of cardio-oncology, a rapidly emerging field that addresses the interplay between cardiovascular and cancer diseases. I have over 10 years of research experience in this domain, using cutting-edge techniques and technologies to understand and treat these complex and prevalent conditions.My current project involves using patient-specific induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and organoids to model and study various aspects of prostate cancer and its impact on the heart. I have developed a strong set of skills and knowledge in stem cell biology, cell signalling, tissue engineering, and cancer biology, which enable me to conduct high-quality and impactful research. I have also contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications, received prestigious awards and scholarships, and participated in several professional and academic activities. My goal is to improve the health and well-being of patients and communities through innovative and interdisciplinary approaches.
