Subhash Roy, FIE, FICA graduated in Civil Engineering from Calcutta University in 1974. After graduation, he was associated with design & construction of 3D Romanian Rig foundation for ONGC Cachar Project, Assam; construction of Kyrdemkala Concrete dam & Radial gate for 60 MW hydel project, Meghalay and design & construction of Gumti Barrage project, Tripura. Since 1982, he has been working with National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited at various positions and capacities. He was Executive Director of Sikkim hydroelectric projects and transferred to Kolkata, region-III office of NHPC and corporate office of NHPC. During his professional career, he has gained vast experiences in the field of hydroelectric projects from concept to commissioning which includes project management as well. He has rendered his services in various hydroelectric projects of NHPC all over India viz. Tanakpur HE projects, Uttranchal; Rangit HE Project, Sikkim; Teesta Low Dam Project-III, IV and Farakka Project, West Bengal; and Lower Subansiri mega hydroelectric project (2000MW) Assam/Arunchal Pradesh. He has given consultancy cum construction management services and been in charge of Dam and reservoir projects for Bakareshwar Thermal Project (1050 MW) West Bengal. He has published papers in various journals and recipient of gold medal form American biography institute, USA for life time achievement. He is an active member of various national and international forums and visited various countries for transfer of technology programme , BUMA , IHA, 3 - Gorgei HEP the countries include, China, Germany, Canada, Norway, Sweden and Finland. As of now he is working as Sr. V. P. Business Development HCC.
