 Having 4+ years of Experience as an IBM WebSphere Application Server Administration on operating systems like UNIX, LINUX and Windows. Setting up new WebSphere environment by installing WebSphere, creating horizontal/vertical Clusters according to application team needs by co-ordination. Application deployments using EAR files through admin console. Installing Refresh Packs, Fix Packs and Interim Fixes through GUI based. Installation of latest version of Update Installer for maintenance package updates. Administering WebSphere admin console by setting appropriate roles like Administrator, Configurator, Monitor, Operator role to LDAP users. Creating Horizontal and Vertical clusters for Failover and Load balance. Creating new Virtual Hosts and configuring Host Aliases. Generating new plug-in under WDM and moving Plug-in config file to IHS Web server to establish communication between Web server and Application Server. Configuring JDBC Provider, Data source and J2C Authentication alias. Configuring initial and maximum Heap size based on requirements. Creating Application Server/ JVM in V6.x and 7.0 through WAS Admin console. Setting JVM logs by configuring the Log file rotation based on Log file size /time parameters. Setting the number of Historical log files depending upon the environment for analyzing logs. Doing Change Requests in Remedy tool for any configuration changes in DEV and PROD environment once appropriate approvals are in place as per remedy workflow structure after analyzing the change request.
