Current-Successfully saved 45% on operational cost of straggler KS Railcars by souring an economical third-party vendor after reviewing, analyzing, comparing & negotiating with multiple vendors.• Responsible for performing cost analysis, negotiating acceptable prices, terms & conditions; coordinating, processing & issuing purchase requisitions, purchase order and managing creation of new vendor & contractors via SAP ERP in a timely manner by following KS procurement policy.• Worked closely with the Project Managers to define Statement of Work (SoW); Initiated multiple new projects to increase efficiency in processing train operations resulting in cost savings.• Maintained great working relationship with multiple suppliers.• Support Accounts payable on Purchase order inquiries, inventory reconciliations and invoice approvals.• Propose revisions on supplier PO value based on fiscal year budget allocation and business needs.• Analyze weekly supplier metrics & KPIs of vendors like CP Rail & Terminal Operators.• Trained colleagues on company processes & tools.• Elected Subject Matter Expert (SME) to work closely with Accenture (consultant) to increase process efficiency.• Responsible for ‘spend analysis’ on vendor expenses, including departmental expenses, rail car transfer freight, terminal handling.• Selected as the ‘citizen developer’ in KS to help in Fusion project.• Responsible for forecast planning & communication of Laycan& vessel scheduling based on RMP and sales forecast by communicating with overseas K+S branches.• Effectively coordinated with multiple vendors like CP rails, terminal & BT site for smooth Railcar Fleet Management .Responsible to coordinate network planning for rail and vessel transportation including inventory management to ensure goods availability at the final shipping points to customers. -Responsible for all export documentations from Vancouver loading Terminal.
