India Exim London branch undertakes entire gamut of wholesale banking activities covering, inter alia, origination, risk analysis, underwriting, credit administration of loan assets across Europe/Africa/India through strong client relationship. India Exim Bank also co-finances overseas acquisitions by Indian corporates and has given Lines of Credit to other IFIs like AFC, Afreximbank, TDB Africa to finance export of goods and services from India.

Role included origination, client relationship, risk analysis, credit administration and monitoring of corporate loans to export oriented corporates for financing green field projects, capacity expansion, modernization, overseas acquisition, setting up of overseas joint ventures/wholly owned subsidiaries, presentation of credit proposals to Committee for final sanction, driving the business of 9 domestic offices for achievement of target; member of various internal committees like Credit Rating committee, Overdue Committee, Stressed Assets Committee etc.

Worked in Project Finance group at the Corporate Office, Mumbai, looking after the road and mining sector. Role included structuring of tailor-made financial solutions to the large infra projects with the support of the SBI Capital Markets Limited, conducting project due diligence, risk analysis, structuring (D/E, security package, repayment schedule), negotiation of term sheet, documentation, presentation to the internal Committee for sanction, loan documentation, and monitoring of the progress of project loan in road and mining sector.

Joined State Bank of India, the biggest commercial Bank in India as Probationary Officer, through a rigorous selection process (with success rate of less than 0.1%) & worked in all areas of commercial banking like retail banking, branch management, MSME finance, Agri-business, international banking etc. Was elevated to the rank of Assistant General Manager through Fast Track Channel due to my excellent performance.

Handpicked to work in the Trade Finance desk at two of the biggest financial centres in Europe. Responsibilities included opening, advising, confirmation, negotiation and discounting/forfaiting of documents/bills under UCP 500, arranging buyers credit/suppliers credit for clients, developing of trade portfolio through structured trade finance deals. Fully conversant with UCP 500/600, URDG, Incoterms, SWIFT payment.
