A seasoned CIO with IIT and IIM background with over 22 years of well-rounded experience with MNCs and large conglomerates in India. Specializes in defining IT strategies to create business value and ensures execution of the same. Worked on streamlining processes, managing change as well as strategic use of data for improving productivity and enhancing customer satisfaction. Contributed significantly in improving product development lead time and product quality through IT. Has been working as CIO for past 8 years with ITC's Lifestyle Retail Business (Brands: Wills Lifestyle, John Players). Prior to that worked as CIO for Congra India (Agro Tech Foods) and of SRF Ltd (Chemicals Business). Served in various multi-disciplinary roles in Sales, Logistics and IT in Maruti Sizuki for 9 years with increasing responsibility after completing B. Tech from IIT Madras and MBA from IIM Calcutta.Led implementation and support of several large projects including multiple ERPs (SAP, Oracle and Infor), Point of Sales (POS), Supply Chain, PLM, CRM, B2B and B2C solutions, etc. Recently implemented SAP IS Retail (9 modules) for ITC’s Lifestyle Retail which has gone live simultaneously in 160 locations and POS solution which has gone live in 400 stores. In the present role managing large computer and communication network as well number of applications supporting thousands of users with large distribution and retail footprint. Focus areas include improving information security, managing risk and improving compliances thorough implementation of Information Management Policies. Won CIO 100 award by CIO Magazine (IDG India) in 2009 and 2011. A member of RAI's (Retailer Association of India) CIO Forum.
