I am an assistant professor specialising in computational communication in the Department of Communications and New Media at the National University of Singapore. I am also affiliated with the Centre for Trusted Internet and Community at NUS.My area of research is media engagement and audience behavior, specifically on digital media platforms. I use computational methods that involve network science, formal modeling, statistical inference, and the use of online behavioral experiments to understand the dynamics of online news consumption as well as individual motivations of information seeking on online platforms.I teach and develop new courses in quantitative research methods, programming, and data visualisation.I received a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2020.
