PURCHASE MANAGEMENT: • Well versed with the entire procurement process starting from floating of RFQs, vendor selection, TER, CS/NFA, negotiation, and reward of orders.• Assessing the performance of the vendors based on various criterions such as quality, technology, competitiveness, delivery performance, credit terms etc.• Aligning procurement activities in line with the production need of the organization.• On time sourcing of raw material, spares, and consumables from domestic and international market. • Planning and budgeting of purchase functions, involving cost estimation, contract negotiations. • Close co-ordination with the production team to maintain optimum inventory. • Ensuring no situations like over-stocking or stock-out to avoid any production or financial losses. • Liaison with finance department for mutually decided timely payment of bills.• Generation and circulation of MIS reports related to procurement department to top management. • Ensure on time delivery of material and services at site with close monitoring and co-ordination with internal and external stake-holders• Finalization of Annual Rate Contract/Annual maintenance Contract. • Effective and on time rejection handling.• Actively involved in Excise, Custom, STPI documentation and Forex Documents related to supply made and services rendered to a SEZ unit. • Co-ordinate with all Forwarder or Logistics Suppliers. • Enrolling for energy saving initiation too by using e-recyclers. VENDOR DEVELOPMENT:• Development of alternative/parallel sources for cost effective procurement. • Effective management of vendor database. • Evaluating vendor performance based on PQD (Product/ Quality/ Delivery) for higher quality of services from vendors. • Timely meetings with vendors to educate them about company’s requirements and help them in improving their performance. • Interaction with our factory Quality control, R&D manager and collecting FAR (First Article Report) related to samples.
