Here, I handled a direct team and suppliers with responsibilities including Sourcing & procurement of all components for OE production of 350cc and 500cc cruiser type Bikes, Price finalization and procurement of Capital items, Indirect materials, Consumables and Maintenance spares for the entire plant Vendor development, rationalization, assessment, evaluation and rating. I spearheaded end-to-end accountability of sourcing and development activities for all components and sub-assemblies.

I led the purchase function with the responsibility of sourcing, development and procurement of air conditioner components and finished products. I also gained extensive exposure in handling import of raw materials, components & machine spares from Thailand, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and SKD and CBU units from Thailand. My role gave me exposure to handling overseas freight, import clearance, warehousing & distribution of materials and finished products. I was also involved in SAP implementation to replace the legacy manual dependent ledger system and functioned as Core Team Member for MM (Material Management) module. I handled large volume (20+ containers /month) importing of various type of Air conditioners with minimal systems & staff.
