Shekar is a multifaceted Chartered Accountant with 16 years of experience in Finance, General Management and Advisory roles.Shekar is a co-founder of KASG Finnaissance Consulting Private Limited (KASG), a boutique firm catering to small and medium sized businesses. The key focus areas of the firm include Strategic & Management consulting, Corporate Finance Advisory, Business Risk Services and Family Office Consulting to clients.As part of his role, Shekar handles the Group Controller role for Metecno, a building products major headquartered in Europe, with presence in over 20 countries across Latin America, Europe and Asia. Prior to KASG, Shekar started his career with a mid-sized audit firm in Chennai handling Internal audits, Statutory audits, Mergers/ Demergers advisory and Systems implementation for clients in South India. Subsequently, he worked with AB Mauri India, a global yeast and bakery ingredients major (division of Associated British Foods Plc, UK) initially as Risk & Internal Auditor for South Asia, before taking over as Financial Controller for the Indian operations. He then moved into a general management role, being instrumental in setting up the project/ program management office for the Company to drive strategic initiatives, implement business process design/ improvement and overall project management. As part of this role, he also managed governance, decision making and implementation for the MD & CEO’s office in India. An avid traveller, Shekar is passionate about Carnatic music and is a percussionist himself. He also enjoys trekking, long runs and strength training.
