I worked on various sponsored projects. My study mainly focused on optimizing the hydrogen storage properties in Mg based materials by various means such as varying processing/synthesis routes and testing wide varieties of catalysts. My fundamental research primarily headed to destabilize the MgH2 system via nano-structuring/alloying or multi-phase formation while controlling the hydrogen sorption kinetics at relatively low temperatures.

In this period of tenure, I worked on the improvements in hydrogen storage properties of Mg materials in association with carbonaceous materials. Different nature of carbon materials have been studied for optimum outcomes in reaction kinetics as well as storage capacity of Mg.

1) R&D activities for new product development and application, and quality improvements for the existing products.2) Accomplished the following projects:"Fine grit green SiC wheels for thread roll grinding application” and “Fine grit brown fused alumina wheels for fine grinding and finishing application" for automobile industries.3) Technical supports to customers: "Improvements in durability and performance of white fused alumina based thread grinding wheels".
