 Working as VP/Head -Logistics,Marketing ,Strategy & Port Management,R& R/Projects/ looking after Green field projects/R& R,logistics/shipment of about 25 million tonnes of bulk raw material and responsible for a business of Rs.50,000 crores at Vizag/Dhamra/Haladia/Paradip/Krishnapatnam Port/Gangavaram/Kakinada Port,  Handling total commercial ,procurement,logistics(road/rail/sea),port operations,shipping of bulk minerals like coal,coke ,Iron Ore, Pellets, Lime Stone, Quartzite and Sinter, Shipping Activities like Despatch/Demurrage Calculation and Presentation of same to top management . Execution of Charte Party Agreements and settlement of disputes with ship owners/stevedores. Overseeing Shipping and logistics planning (Rail/Road) for 3.5 million tons of cargo through Vizag Port, 0.5 million tons of cargo through Paradip Port and 0.5 million tons of cargo through Haladia. Coordination with Port,Railways,Customs,CHAs and other Agents and finalization of all contracts.Devising efficient Logistics Management System to ensure delivery of the goods / shipments as per committed timelines and cost. Preparation of long term rail and road logistics plan/budget for logistics and direct/ monitor its implementation including planning distribution capabilities with respect to market requirements, new infrastructure development, etc Monitor and review performance of the transportation system and take corrective action where ever necessary.  Plan and implement strategies for freight cost reduction by way of benchmarking, competitor analysis  Plan and develop infrastructure facilities for minimizing distribution cost – e.g. new railway siding, hiring private siding, etc. Liaise with Railways in Delhi,Bhubaneshwar and Kolkata to ensure rake availability at optimum cost and with Road transporters for effective utilization of fleets Manpower planning with respect to mines and sidings and oversee deployment as per plan.
