Subyeta Sarwar is currently a Research Fellow at One Health Laboratory, icddr,b. Her interests lie in the field of molecular biology, more specifically infectious diseases as proven by her MS Dissertation on SARS-CoV-2 by detecting its genetic diversity and presence in wastewater.Despite being more drawn towards wet-lab-based work, when needed, Subyeta can dedicate her time and focus on bioinformatics-based tools and work her way to get the results she needs.The Lab at which Subyeta is working at, One Health Lab, focuses on the collaborative efforts of multiple disciplines working locally, nationally, and globally, to attain optimal health for people, animals, and the environment. The One Health Lab at icddr, b is the leading lab of Bangladesh for Nipah Virus genotyping. Having multiple collaborations with NIH, WHO, CDC etc, OHL aims to investigate prevalence, distribution, and control strategies for priority zoonotic diseases and other health issues of multisectoral relevance in support of endemic disease control and epidemic preparedness and response.
