Established in 2007, the Bryan A. Collins Memorial Scholarship program provides scholarship grants to outstanding college students at Tennessee State University who demonstrate excellence in pursuit of their college degrees. Led HR initiatives and teams for PepsiCo's Quaker Oats, Gatorade, Tropicana businesses. Managed the Human Resources business team that established ground-breaking hiring, retention, compensation and talent management programs that enabled one of the largest, most successful change initiatives in PepsiCo's history. Effort engaged 70% of the workforce in Pepsi's 2nd largest division, had a 30% ROI on a $2 billion investment and resulted in streamlining and improving 500+ business processes.

Led HR for the Quaker-Tropicana-Gatorade Supply Chain organization. Managed team of 60 US & Canada HR managers and directors supporting $8 billion in sales, 8000+ employees. Team planned & delivered $49 million in annualized employee benefits savings to PepsiCo, improved retention of high potentials and key diverse talent by 11%, improved executive retention by 5%, and improved workforce engagement and productivity metrics an avg. of 6% across all sites.

Led the OD function for the Quaker Oats organization...and the HR function for the North American Quaker Oats and Gatorade manufacturing, engineering, logistics and R&D organizations. Supported $6 billion in sales, 7000 employees, 21 mfg plants, 40+ distribution centers, 400 HQ mgrs. Led team of 35 HR directors and managers. As the Organization Effectiveness function lead, provided leadership development and organization capability services for the organization. As the HR lead, co-developed and led labor strategy which reduced mfg network and asset base costs by $60MM, built 7x24 continuous operations capability in remaining sites, and delivered early labor contracts 7% below budgeted costs. Provided HR leadership for the People Plan which reduced key position turnover from 8.1% to 5.4%, improved diversity in senior positions by 7%, and placed 39% of high potentials in new or expanded roles.

Led HR for the Quaker Foods organization - supporting $3.5 billion in sales, 4100 employees, 11 mfg plants and 9 distribution centers. As HR leader on the executive redesign team, helped consolidate 6 North American supply chain organizations - representing 41% of all Quaker employees -- generating $12.5MM in cost savings/year. Helped re-position Quaker as an "employer of choice," cut key position turnover by 30%, improved leadership benchstrength by 20% and increased diversity in senior positions by 19%.

Led HR for this division with $600 million in sales, 1700 employees, 7 mfg plants, 4 sales forces nationwide and 85 HQ mgrs. Led staff of 11 HR Managers, both HQ & field. Upgraded performance management system which contributed to division achieving 117% and 123% of business plan -- following three consecutive years of below plan financial performance. Helped save $3.3 million annually as a result of simplifying work, flattening the organization by 2 levels, closing 3 sales offices and realigning the organization to deploy more people against key customer accounts. Developed the HR strategy for divestiture of 3 non-core businesses valued at $100MM. Managed due diligence, retention/exit pkgs, communications resulting in smooth and humane transition of these businesses to their new owners.
