I am an extremely motivated young professional who thrives in a creative engineering atmosphere. After earning my B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University (class of 2009), I quickly became a respected systems engineer in the PV industry. After 5 years as a PV System Designer, I made the decision to transition my career to a position in industrial automation control, where I have been since February 2014.I am currently working as a Control Systems Engineer with a Pittsburgh-based electrical integrator. We integrate PLC SCADA systems utilizing mainly Rockwell / Allen-Bradley products for waste water, water treatment, and other industrial applications.Before transitioning to my current position I spent 4 years as a PV System Design Engineer with Soligent LLC. Utilizing Soligent's wide portfolio of solar products, I performed complete engineering & quoting of residential & commercial grid-tied systems. Customers benefited from my complete 3D (with geo shading) sketch-up models, 1 & 3-line NEC-compliant electrical diagrams, and live technical support.Before moving to Soligent I worked as a PV System Design Engineer with Pittsburgh-based company EnergyPeak. EnergyPeak is a distributor of Uni-Solar thin-film solar laminates, distributing primarily to the Standing Seam Metal Roofing and Metal Building Industries. Standing Seam Metal Roofing Manufactures apply the flexible solar laminates to their roofing panels (prior to shipping to job site), and market/sell as a fully integrated BIPV roofing product. Prior to EnergyPeak, I served as the lead Hardware Design Engineer with the Penn State Advanced Vehicle Team. During my time with the team I inhaled way too much solder, but gained invaluable embedded systems experience.
