As a trained Geneticist and Cancer Biologist, I braved to etch a path in entrepreneurship that involved a lot of unlearning and learning. I wanted to work on a problem that most people need to be courageous enough to solve--the inching gap between society and science.Through SciRio, I help research-based organisations and bioscience companies (life sciences, healthcare, biotechnology, pharma, environment, sustainability, and more) struggling with impactful content and messaging.While my exit from academia began with helping science students and researchers train themselves in science communication skills, I realised that by training them alone, I am only increasing the number of applicants to the handful of jobs they cater to but not creating more opportunities.
