Lead electrical engineer with 9+ year work experience as an electrical engineering project manager in power & energy sector. Hands-on experience in electrical power project development, technical assessment, feasibility report preparation, electrical engineering design (hands-on Aotocad, EPLAN, PSCAD), control & protection design, power quality control and plant commissioning. I have work experience in electro-mechanical equipment selection & procurement, participating in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) in global OEM suppliers' facilities (Austria, Germany, Spain, Poland, China) and Site Acceptance Testing (SATs) of power generating machinery as the client's engineer. I have expertise in Solar PV and Heating system design, simulation, optimization and economic assessments. Hands-on experience in design tools such as PVSyst, HomerPro, PVGIS and Sketchup. I have research experience in Electroluminescence (EL) Testing methods, which is one of the preferred tools in identifying defects in Solar PV modules at manufacturing level and in the field. In my previous work, I was managing the operation and maintenance of 6nors. hydro power plants, leading a team of 60 workers and ensuring optimal performance, reliability and profitability. I have performed many technical due-diligence assessments (TDD) on various hydro power plant operations in countries such as Uganda, Rwanda and Sri Lanka. Sustainable Living is so crucial for the existence of human beings and life on planet earth and I am a promoter of Sustainability. I have carried out many projects as a volunteer in the Sri Lankan government education sector to inculcate and promote sustainability and sustainable lifestyles among the school children and youth. I am passionate about delivering sustainable and innovative solutions for the power & energy sector as a whole.
