Until October 2023, I worked as the Chief Information Officer at Colombo Dockyard PLC, Sri Lanka, starting in 1993. My job role was to ensure the streamlined operation of the ICT Department in line with the business strategies and objectives of the organization. I planned, coordinated, directed, designed, and managed ICT-related activities of the organization. Additionally, I provided administrative and information security directions and support for the daily operational activities of the ICT department. I was also responsible for deploying new technologies to formulate new business environments and technology-driven cultures within the organization to perform organizational activities more effectively.I was responsible for implementing and executing the approved plans, projects, and tasks, making decisions to attain desirable profit-making results in the best interest of sustainability and development of the organization.
