A seasoned marketing professional with sound general management skills, I have over 22 years of leadership experience in international marketing (of apparel fabrics & home textiles) and in managing Strategic Business Unit. I strongly believe that in order to maximize value for stakeholders, a company should strive to create and deliver a superior (differentiated) benefit to customers in the most cost effective manner. So, focus on asset utilization, cost optimization and use of technology to drive productivity across functions is as important as focus on understanding customer’s needs (stated/ unstated) , studying your competitors and driving product innovation. I hold an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and FMS Banaras Hindu University besides, a BSc in Physics from University of Poona. My dad was an army officer, so as a kid I got the opportunity to travel and do my schooling across several cities in different states of India. After starting my career, in 1995, I have travelled extensively to over 33 countries for business. Being constantly mobile has given me the ability to quickly adapt to new culture. I can fluently speak English, Hindi and Nepali.My skill sets includes: 1. Crafting and implementing strategy for growth and profitability 2. Business development. Understanding the needs and preferences of customers and adapting market offer to maximize wallet share.3. Data analytics.
