Essendant is a national wholesale distributor of office supplies. It has lean IT support team that works closely to each other and support variety of technologies. It has SAP ERP, OMS, Data Warehouse, Mainframe, Microsoft and third party applications to manage day to day operations. These applications use Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2 LUW and MySQL as their backend databases. All scheduled jobs run via Control-M scheduler nightly basis. Any changes to system are managed using ServiceNow application. My main responsibility to provide support for Data Warehouse, Informatica, Hyperion, Inventory Management, Vertex, Interact Digital and Smart Search application databases.• Upgraded Oracle databases from 12c to 19c non-CBD• Applying RUs twice a year to all oracle databases in each environment using automated script• Managing databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager• Upgraded Oracle EM from version 12c to 13c including all agents running on database servers• Converted RMAN backup from file copy to incremental and standardize script to run on all database servers• Installed mongoDB on Linux servers and setup three node cluster for three environments. • Added two mongoDB nodes at secondary data center to existing production three node cluster at Primary data center• Installing and providing support to MySQL database servers running on AIX/Windows platforms • Attended training to provide support for DB2 LUW• Also involved with yearly disaster recovery testing of critical systems• Generating database space consumption monthly report and presenting to management• Providing user access report to application manager for user recertification
