As a Student Researcher, I navigated the interdisciplinary intersection of Information Sciences and Social Media Analysis. Our team was awarded the "Best Interdisciplinary Team Work award at CKIDS 2023" . My work focused on:1] Constructing and refining sentiment analysis models, offering critical insights into underlying emotional tones within large volumes of text data.2] Implementing web scraping techniques to extract data from the Tumblr social media platform, specifically targeting posts that propagated eating disorders.3] Analyzing the retrieved data to comprehend the prevalence and context of eating disorder promotion, thus contributing to our understanding of this significant societal issue.4] Working collaboratively within a research-intensive environment, I contributed to the creation of impactful knowledge and the development of potential interventions.This experience deepened my appreciation for the potential of Data Science in fostering positive social change and enhancing our understanding of digital community behaviors.

Developed a real-time Hand Gesture Recognition engine using Google's HandPose model and integrated it with the existing mechanism to control Augmented Reality 3D models on screen for eKalaiva AI, an EdTech Web Application.Researched and developed a BG Removal engine using the U2Net model and PyTorch to extract the foreground from an input video by masking the input frames of the video, generating the final output frames and rendered the BG removed video using FFmpeg.

Kamakoti on Linux kernel size optimization & malware detection using Machine Learning techniques.•Researched on generating a dataset for Malware Detection using Opcodes of Malware & Benign executable files and developed an algorithm that uses 80x86 Intel Opcode listings and generates a dataset containing the file name and corresponding opcode frequencies with a label as malware or benign.• Performed malware detection using various Supervised Machine Learning algorithms like Naive Bayes, Random Forest and J48 classifier with an accuracy of 99%.
