The Predictable Revenue System story goes back to 2010 when sales vacancies were heavily advertised through classified advertisements. Our story is challenging the status quo when status quo is wrong. Mostly people choose sales out of compulsion rather than choice. I was frustrated of the situation. Sales people lived in immense fear of losing jobs, fear of getting rejected by prospects, working late hours, getting rebuked. Society does not accept salesmen respectfully. The more learned you were , lesser was the probability that you will choose sales , as career. During my Tyco days, I lost my job along with 10 friends , even though I was an above average performer. I was a victim of US recession. I set out to challenge the status Quo. Today India has lots of Engineers, Writers, designers, but too few people opting for sales career. Applicants to sales career has heavily reduced. The core reason for such a frustrating situation is because sales we treat sales career artistically rather than scientifically. You can not get artists in abundance. Introduction of designing soft-wares triggered the production of large number of designers Indiawide. You can not increase the production of artists. Similarly, you can not increase the production os star salesmen. We are an evangelist of treating sales function scientifically. We are averse to star salesmanship. Sales should be treated as a process wherein even average sales guys performs above average repeatedly. Fast forward a year to mid 2013. We started to see quite a few deals. But this growth soon became Achilles heel. In trying to meet demands of customers who wanted a Predictable Revenue System, we found ourself trying to service everyone. We started applying short-cuts for faster results. For a period we lost our competitive edge. Our service suffered. We took the stock of the situation and decided that in order to provide real value, we can not forgo any steps in our systematic approach.
