MISSION Objectives(i) To promote translational research in Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) and associated technologies.(ii) To develop technologies, prototypes and demonstrate associated applications pertaining to national priorities.(iii) To enhance high-end researchers base, Human Resource Development (HRD) and skill-sets in these emerging areas.(iv) To enhance core competencies, capacity building and training to nurture innovation and start-up ecosystem.(v) To set up world-class interdisciplinary centers of excellence in several academic institutions across the country, that can become repositories of core expertise in CPS and related areas and serve as focal points for technology inputs for the industry and policy advice for the government(vi) To involve Government and Industry R&D labs as partners in the collaboration centers. Incentivise private participation to encourage professional execution and management of pilot scale research projects(vii) To set mission mode application goals and foundational themes for excellence for different centers. Set up CPS test beds at various centers.(vii) To tie up with incubation centers and accelerators to foster close collaboration with entrepreneurship eco-system.(ix) To address some of the National issues and development of sector-specific solutions.

The Council has chalked out the objectives and the vision for driving an innovation movement in the state, focusing on inclusive growth and sustainable development. I contribute towards planning, organizing, and implementing a wide array of projects to foster innovation across all social levels. The key focus areas include driving awareness campaigns for innovation and entrepreneurship across the state of Goa, supporting and encouraging SMEs and startups through various state government schemes, mapping opportunities for the state, discovering and rewarding potential young future entrepreneurs, and conducting seminars, workshops, and events to drive the functionality of the state council. In the past few years, we have launched several successful initiatives to inform, encourage, and empower people from all walks of life to embrace their innovative ideas. The Virtual Innovation Register (VIR) is one such major project. The online ‘idea registration’ platform enables people living anywhere in Goa to register their idea free of cost and protects the proprietary of the idea. The VIR portal currently has 450+ ideas registered.I have also been instrumental in organizing the coveted ‘Goa’s Young Innovator’s Award,’ where students from schools across the state get the opportunity to present their innovative projects. Besides working with students, I have also arranged for periodic faculty development programs and women-centric workshops. My team invites and guides inventors and startups to build design prototypes in the state-of-the-art GSInC prototyping lab to help bright ideas take form. I also participate in organizing risk capital funding support to fledgling startups and help inventors gain insights into IPR and patenting through seminars and workshops by leading professionals in the field.
