As a Property Services Manager I was responsible for the cleaning, catering, porterage and building compliance for 55 NHS sites including a secure mental health unit across Lancashire. I was responsible for the procurement and streamlining of services and for ensuring full compliance with legislation and professional standards. I undertook environmental audits of both owned and leased sites and liaised with senior managers to improve service delivery.

During my 8 years working as a library manager, I gained a good grounding in health and safety and facilities management as well as operational experience. I managed numerous sites over this period within the Wigan Borough and project managed a number of building refurbishments.
