I have worked in the voluntary sector for the past 9 years, prior to that working for over 20 years in the public sector. I am motivated and enthusiastic with excellent organisational, communication and administrative skills. I am committed to the principles of Valuing People to ensure people with learning disabilities have opportunities and support to lead the lives they want. I am dedicated to ensuring people with learning disabilities have a voice in society and are treated as equal citizens. I have recently taken over ownership and running The Refillable Van, aimed at making it easier for people to shop waste free for essential groceries, household and personal care items as well as working with small business owners promoting locally produced ethical products.
