About Sue Benfield

Makers of Manners is a comprehensive knitwear resource located above the Mattice Boutique in Oak Hill, upstate NY.Clients are encouraged to visit the workshop and studio to discuss product development and production needs, aided by machine-knit demonstration and access to the extensive MoM Stitch Archive. Teaching is an important part of the resource, helping clients to increase their knowledge of knitwear construction and yarn choices. There is also a program of knitwear classes and workshops launching in the Fall of 22.The workshop is capable of manufacturing small batches of apparel and accessories, equipped with standard, bulky and fine-gauge machines & linkers. For larger volume we can connect you with reliable domestic and overseas manufacturers.

They'll never stop weaving the rugged woolen fabrics they're famous for but they could now offer lightweight shirtings and washable wools and a large variety of recycled fibers - so many new opportunities in the pipeline!
