Responsible for the overall administration of the volunteer bill-payer program and the agency's representative payee program. This program assists low-income elders and persons with disabilities with their routine finances in the 34 communities served by Springwell (Waltham area), BayPath (Marlborough area) and HESSCO (Sharon area). Ensure compliance with state mandates and reporting mechanisms. Ensure the accuracy of all departmental records and databases. Recruit, train and manage 100 volunteers. Implement strategies to recruit and retain volunteers. Convene volunteer meetings, acknowledge contributions of volunteers and provide ongoing support. Provide community outreach and education to ensure program visibility and expand program access to people in need. Meet with clients in their homes to explain the program and provide ongoing assistance as needed. Provide information on other programs and make referrals to programs as appropriate. Provide guidance, supervision and oversight to the Program Specialist.

Create a warm and welcoming dining experience for seniors in the town of Stow. Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, training and supervising a group of 20 volunteers to assist in the kitchen and with the Meals on Wheels program. Other tasks include: coordinating dining reservations, maintaining home delivery route sheets, scheduling Meals on Wheels drivers and kitchen volunteers, maintaining a record of volunteer hours, recognizing volunteers for their contributions, serving Stow seniors, interacting with seniors by phone and in person, maintaining food handling practices and procedures, keeping records and statistics for the nutrition program, banking, and submitting weekly and monthly nutrition reports.

Bureau of Health Statistics Research and Evaluation; Chronic Disease Surveillance Program; Data Manager/Research Analyst Responsible for preparing written analytical reports on chronic disease risk factors, health behaviors, and disease occurrence based on surveillance data from the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) and other large public health data sets. Tasks involved in report generation included: disease/risk factor research, data management including quality assurance, and data analysis using descriptive epidemiologic methods. Designed and developed SAS and SUDAAN programs for data analysis. Reports were written for release to the general public and to other health professionals.
