At the current pace, 23 service members commit suicide each day.Operation Blue Pride’s mission is to welcome these veterans into the scuba diving community. Scuba training has proven to be a very effective self-healing and empowerment tool helping veterans regain their independence and sense of purpose. OBP’s scuba trained veterans remain actively involved in OBP. They share their experiences by mentoring other veterans and pursuing marine conservation efforts.Since 2014, Operation Blue Pride has arranged for and financed:• Open water certification of 100 Veterans • Advanced certification of 10 Veterans• Try Scuba and Refresher Programs • Local guided shore and boat dives • Establishment of an equipment program by purchasing scuba equipment which is available for our Veterans' use at no costwww.operationbluepride.org
