I’m the Bark Busters Dog Behavioral Therapist and Dog Trainer here in the South Bay. As a professional dog trainer with Bark Busters, I educate and train my clients, giving them an understanding of canine instinct, perception and communication. I then guide them in training their dogs by combining this knowledge with holistic, non-physical methods. My goal is for each client to have the best possible relationship with his/her canine companion – a relationship based on mutual respect and trust, in which their dogs fully recognize their "person's"​ strong pack leadership. I conduct lessons in clients' homes as well as in other real-life environments, such as parks, walking paths and outdoor cafes.My former dog, Tessa, and I were Pet Partners with the Delta Society for 11 years, bringing joy and affection to clients at mental health institutions, convalescent homes, and the Special Olympics. My current dog, Kieran, is more athletic – participating in Earth Dog competition and Agility classes. A few years ago, he convinced me to become an officer in the Welsh Terrier Club of Southern California. He and I have represented the Welshies several times in the AKC “Meet the Breeds” booth at the Long Beach Convention Center. Kieran is living proof that Bark Busters training techniques are indeed successful in getting a prey-driven dog to ignore those pesky possums on the back wall.
