Major responsibilities• Promoting excellence and innovation in teaching and learning across 7 schools within Health Sciences Division.• Gathering and representing Division’s diverse views on issues such as Honours policy, plagiarism and assessment including taking a major role in the on-line student evaluation development group. Leading role in Divisional T & L Committee • Representing Faculty of at University wide forums e.g. Courses Committee,University Teaching Learning Committee, and Curtin Murdoch merger working group. Major achievements• Streamlining the course approvals process to allow Divisional Teaching Learning Committee (DTLC) to reduce administrative load of teaching development review: allowing DTLC to focus on strategic L&T issues and facilitating greater response to wider university issue. • Excellence and Innovation in Teaching Awards. Encouraging application by approaching staff nominated by Heads as innovative and excellent teachers, and facilitating their submissions.. • Contribution to University policy in eg plagiarism, Honours

Major responsibilities• Determining and negotiating the contract (within a consultancy model) for theprovision by Curtin of the first year of the Basic and Clinical sciences domain of the medical course • Co-ordinating the planning of the course provision at Curtin, including weekly planning and review.• Representing the School of Biomedical Sciences on Notre Dame Curriculum Management, Assessment, Basic and Clinical Sciences domain and Syllabus Development committeesMajor achievements• Successful completion of the first year of the program at Curtin with excellent student feedback

The Board set the strategic direction of the Commission which is aligned with the needs of community and business. Membership comprised the CEO and 9 regional representatives who are appointed by the Minister for Regional Development. The Board was restructured in 2017.
