Providing HR advice, strategy and initiatives to support managers and leaders to achieve Business and Personal objectives / goals. Developing employee engagement, retention and L&D strategies to support organisational development and talent management. Ensuring the HR function is integrated, respected and adding value at all levels. Being the lead Company contact / negotiator for employee representatives and staff forums at local and national levels. Working closely with the H&SEE Manager / Coordinator to ensure compliance with legislation and safety systems. Providing and implementing the HR strategy to downsize and ultimately close the site in June 2019. Responsible for employee and site facility providers e.g. Occupational Health. Security, Catering, Cleaning Services and Company Cars. Achievements/Responsibilities included:• Developed and achieved the HR strategy to support the plant business goals and objectives.• Independently responsible for developing and executing the HR strategy for the ultimate plant closure in June 2019 ensuring employee engagement and morale is unaffected and absence levels remain low with no impact to quality of product• Budget planning / Forecasting / Project management• Succession planning and providing critical role cover• Developing and supporting organizational training plan• Maintaining and coordinating the organisational learning and development plan• Lead contact for OHS providers / ensuring Health Surveillance requirements adhered to / Case Management• Dealing successfully with trade unions (GMB / Unite) and employee representatives• Monitoring job satisfaction levels and organising employee engagement activities• Developing & improving existing HR procedures and processes• Promoting equal opportunities and diversity • Writing the terms of employment & contracts for new employees• Multisite Human Resources experience

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, responsible for all aspects of adherence to HR processes and systems and supporting the HR Manager with day to day work requirements.
