I am an economist who works with large teams of attorneys to investigate potential anticompetitive consequences of mergers or single firm conduct in order to enforce the antitrust laws. Within each investigation, I use economic theory to help develop the theory of our case, determine the evidence that the Division would need to prove the theory in court, help draft and negotiate document and data requests, analyze data, write recommendation memos that are reviewed by the Assistant Attorney General for Antitrust as to the strengths and weaknesses of the case, work with testifying economic experts to develop evidence used at trial, and help with the drafting of the complaint or settlement competitive impact statement.Major cases include:
