Achievements:From 2007 to 2008, outperformed the average growth rate of the business by 18.5%.Increased share of company turnover from 7.7% to 9.2% during 2008 which represented an additional turnover of £2.8mn.Pivotal in ensuring the smooth integration of new acquisition stores, which contributed 36% of the giftware turnover in 2008.Introduced new concepts, i.e. jewellery (annual turnover now in excess of £1mn).Secured contributions from clothing suppliers during 2007 to the value of in excess of £200K, which fully funded new fixtures for 20 clothing departments. These stores then showed an average growth of 89% during the following year.

Role:To maximize turnover and gross profit within the giftware, clothing, garden furniture and Christmas decoration categories. Reporting directly into the Managing Director and responsible for a turnover in excess of £3.7mn.Achievements:Achieved an average growth rate of 12% across departments over the last 3 years. This exceeds Bridgemere's overall growth rate of 1% achieved in the same financial period.Managing an efficient and professional buying and merchandising team.Proactive involvement within the Tillington Group, representing Bridgemere on three committees, namely Christmas decorations, furniture and leisure goods.Responsible for introducing brands such as Timberland, Henri Lloyd and Rayban, previously never offered for sale within a garden centre environment.
