In this role, my focus is working with our OneStream Delivery Partners, providing comprehensive support throughout the project implementation process. This encompasses offering design guidance, technical assistance, training, and supporting change management. I also collaborate with colleagues in Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Support, and Training, as we collectively strive for successful outcomes across our business. Having transitioned to the vendor side from being an implementer, I have found this shift to be incredibly engaging. As I enter my second year with OneStream, I’m excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.

The Programmed Facility Management business provides contracted facilities management services to a wide range of clients, with work types covering reactive and preventative maintenance, small and large projects, all built around an outsourced vendor model. After four years with Programmed I have gained a comprehensive understanding of the business, covering general operations, contract management, client interactions, asset management, contract mobilisation, reporting, data quality management, and finance, across multiple systems.A year ago I moved into the role of Finance & Commercial Manager for the national Salvation Army Contract. This is a highly collaborative environment, where the Programmed Team works very closely with the Salvation Army Facilities Team to deliver quality services to the occupants of the properties, including Salvo’s Stores, social support sites, aged care facilities, residential housing and places of worship. I have overall responsibility for delivering an efficient finance function, including P&L management, budgeting and forecasting, contract invoicing, debtors’ control, vendor management, review of outcomes against the strategic service delivery plans, and identification and progression of process and system improvements.In many ways this has been a Greenfields role, where I have been able to apply my experience, knowledge and skills across the finance function, business administration, and systems to contribute to the ongoing development of efficient operational practices. I have worked closely with corporate finance teams, business systems teams, asset management teams, my own contract team and our client to bring about real change for the benefit of everyone. We are all scattered across the country, and make good use of Teams to develop and maintain close and productive working relationships, so the past year has been very rewarding for me personally.

In this role I had a range of responsibilities including data analysis, excel modelling, and designing reports for internal and client end users, identifying and enabling process improvements, as well as driving the creation of new and improved system functionality. Achieving wins in the system space was heavily dependent on working closely with end-users & developer teams; and I frequently acted as a facilitator in solving the problems that were creating barriers to project completions. I was able to confidently shape the course of many projects, resulting in the delivery of numerous successful outcomes that have created real and lasting efficiencies in the day to day operations of the business. I was able to deliver lasting success due to the superior quality of the training documentation I created and maintained, my skills in delivering group and individual training and my commitment to providing support to individuals long after the projects were completed.

GRAI (GLBTI Rights in Ageing Inc) aims to promote a safe and inclusive environment for older lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people. GRAI works with governments, the aged care sector and the community, advocating for LGBTI elders'​ rights. Since 2005, GRAI has provided national leadership in this field, through research, education and community outreach.After attending the wonderful GRAI Sundowner last year (a Pride event), I felt that I just had to get involved with this wonderful organisation. In my role at UWA, I was responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Hyperion Planning system, and my efforts succeeded in maximizing the use of Hyperion Planning as the university’s enterprise performance management system. Most of my work was hands-on as a developer, and I designed and delivered many improvements to the system following the initial implementation. Additional development capacity and technical support were handled by the external contractor (M-Power Solutions), and I worked closely with them to deliver high-quality business outcomes.Based in the University's Finance Division, I also provided analytical support to accounting staff during the development of the annual budgets. In this role, I also trained and mentored system users, trained system administrators, created training documentation, developed a suite of reports, including numerous (critical) data validation reports, and I always responded quickly and effectively when support was required by end-users.

In my role as senior consultant, I provided a high-quality consultancy service to many well-known organisations in Perth and beyond; implementing Oracle Hyperion Planning solutions. Towards the end of my time at M-Power I became the functional lead on a number of successful projects, and I was highly regarded for my ability to pull everything together leading up to go-live, where I always delivered a superior quality product to clients.This consulting role encompassed many diverse abilities - project management, gathering business requirements, negotiating changes with management and users, excel modelling for proof of concept to design testing, developing Hyperion Planning Solutions (design and coding), creation of Essbase models, setting up ETL solutions, business process re-engineering, ongoing consultation with users, managing the end-user experience throughout the project, development and delivery of tailored training material to groups and individuals, development of reporting solutions, and system administration. I continued to provide customer support on most of the projects I implemented, which I found very rewarding.Some of the companies I worked for during my six years at M-Power are The University of Western Australia, BAE Systems Australia (Adelaide), Iluka Resources, Murphy Oil, The Royal Automobile Club of WA (RAC), Minerals and Metals Group (MMG), Cliffs Natural Resources (Perth & Cleveland), and the CBH Group. I have worked to integrate Hyperion Planning with other Oracle EPM systems, SAP, Pronto, JD Edwards, Ellipse and others, as well as some proprietary systems within these companies.
