Responsible for formulation and delivery of a strategy which allows for investment in an extensive and successful programme of non-profit student and outreach sport and engagement, in parallel with profitable commercial activity including operation of professional sports franchises (netball and basketball) and collaboration with Harlequins RFC.

Providing leadership of the Corporate Services Directorate, accountable for all financial, IT and HR related services within Surrey Sports Park (SSP), delivering professional and effective service provision to SSP and the University of Surrey. Board advisor and an integral part of the SSP Leadership Group, supporting the operational and commercial functions of the business, ensuring all systems and procedures are fit for purpose and able to deliver outstanding quality outputs to support the strategy of SSP.

Head of Finance Service & Support, a member of the Senior Finance Management team responsible for leading and developing the transactions teams. Responsible for the provision of specialist support to internal and external stakeholders in all matters relating to AR, AP, cash & banking, staff & student expenses (including fraud prevention), student finance and processing of all finance transactions. Accountable for the functionality of the AR, AP and Logistics modules of the finance system, and the smooth and effective operation of the Finance Shared Service Centre. The Centre includes Transaction Processing, dealing with all transaction documents; Transaction Support, providing first line query resolution and training to internal stakeholders, finance reconciliations, commercial collections for the University and subsidiaries, and policy maintenance and Student Finance, providing invoicing and collection services (tuition and accommodation fees) achieving collection rates of 99.5%.
