Fusebox (Powered by Pierce Energy Planning) is a "tech enabled" utility management company that aggregates utility data from multiple sources and makes is both visible and understandable to the client. Sue Pierce, owner of Pierce Energy Planning, co-founded Fusebox with her son, Scott. Sue had spent several years consulting with K-12 school districts on behavior change related to energy and water savings educating and mobilizing staff and students to conserve. As a CPA her initial work was in the area of financial operations, helping organizations improve their bottom line and operate more efficiently. In 1994, this focus shifted to facility and energy planning. In all of the work she has done, her most remarkable skill set is the ability to organize people to accomplish a common goal. Ms. Pierce facilitated various community processes for school districts in Iowa to build support for school building campaigns and bond referendums. She continues this work in Arizona. Effective bond and over-ride campaigns have much in common with successful energy conservation programs both requiring similar skills - leadership, information and marketing. Perhaps this is the reason that Sue Pierce is credited with developing and implementing several successful energy conservation programs at Arizona school districts. Washington Elementary School District has reduced their electric energy usage by 26% in two years through energy behavior management.
