My passion for patient care comes from my extensive experience in home care. I am an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner student with a career focus on quality improvement and patient centered care in a primary care setting. I bring in 10 years of home care experience as a director of nursing which entails direct patient care, improved chart documentation ensuring accurate reimbursements, administrative tasks, budgeting, and much more. I have the experience to apply problem solving skills, manage and lead clinical operations, develop short and long-term goals for the entire department, establish new policies and update existing policies to improve the standard of care for patients. I have over 500 hours of clinical experience in primary care, urgent care, and women’s health. I performed comprehensive and physical assessments, provided teaching, treatment plans, screening per up-to-date guidelines, differential diagnosis, preventative healthcare measures, and refer to imaging and/or specialty as needed.
