With over 30 years' experience in the electrical industry and 15 years spent in the Vocational Education and Training sector, I'm passionate about training, women in trades, educational leadership, innovation in training, and emerging industries. My experience spans the public and private sectors, working in educational delivery, leadership, compliance, training development, and management roles across various industries and locations, and gives me a uniquely wholistic understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the VET sector. A lifelong learner, my trade qualification was the beginning of a journey that has included Diplomas, a Bachelor, a Graduate Certificate, and most recently a Master's degree, the combination of which inspires me to spearhead innovation in Queensland's VET sector and prepare industries and communities for technological advancements. I offer value back to my community and stay connected to my trade through contributions to the Electrical Safety Office's Education and Arc Flash Committees, ESQ IRG, and the National Association of Women in Construction's (NAWIC) Women on Tools Committee.
