Risk and Business Continuity Professional with many years of extensive experience in the field. BC and Incident (Crisis) Management rehearsals; training; auditing; personal advice in business continuity (BC), incident management (IM) and more recently IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM). I am a BC mentor and one of my ambitions is to take the mystique out of Business Continuity and make it easy and accessible to all. I am a member of the Emergency Planning Society, BCP, Professional Working group, the Group that was responsible for the development of a Dummies Guide to Business Continuity, of which I was secretary of the author group and a co-contributore. I work with the current Chair of the South Midlands BCI Forum to consider and develop the agenda and thought provoking discussions at the Forum which is hosted by T-Systems.I am a member of the BCI Partnership Steering Group and a member of the BCI Assessment Group which is responsible for improving the application process and criteria for all levels of qualification. Recently elected as Chair of the Milton Keynes Business Resilience Forum - a local resilience group made up of volunteers from across different industries to assist Milton Keynes Council in its duties under the Civil Contingencies Act to raise the profile of Business Continuity to local businesses. This forum has been recognised by the Civil Contingencies Secretariat as best practice in England.Whilst at T-Systems I have been asked to Chair the 'Group of Excellence' comprising of a small selection of BC professionals from within the Deutsche Telekom AG group with the remit to share best practice and the aim to improve current practices across the group.Specialties: The holistic process of BCM including: exercises/rehearsals of BC plans, incident management plannng, business continuity planning, business impact analysis.
