With a legal background, I moved into healthcare recruitment and joined Ambition 24 Hours in 1997, becoming a Senior Director of the Group in 2001, managing the sales and compliance operations of the business. After 10 years, I moved on from Ambition after successfully setting up and running the South African operation. I was appointed as the Executive Manager of the Education and Social Care Divisions for Synarbor. In 2008 I expanded a change management business by setting up the recruitment infrastructure. Working for Capita plc, I was appointed MD of all healthcare staffing businesses. The companies enjoyed growth from 2011, improvement in service levels and new opportunities both internationally and in the UK, including being awarded and implementing our managed service solution to the largest private hospital group.My current role is MD of Minerva Nursing and Airmid Staffing. Minerva Nursing offers complete workforce management solutions to the healthcare sector on a temporary and permanent basis, providing our clients with the best platform to drive through cost efficiency, be supplied with the right staff member when needed and improvement in care levels.
