My colleague Jane Weston and I wrote the resource Understanding and addressing the needs of children and young people living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) in 2014 it was the first Australian Resource and we drew heavily on the expertise in the Fitzroy Valley, including Kimberley educators, researchers who conducted the Lililwan Prevalence Study and most importantly Aboriginal women who led the development of the Marulu Strategy to make FASD History. In 2018 we updated the Resource to include new and emerging knowledge on FASD and complex trauma and a chapter on intergenerational trauma. The new Resource is Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and complex trauma: A Resource for educators, it has been widely recognised as a high quality and useful resource providing practical support for educators and many other professionals.
