Altass-Cheshire offer Mental Health Capacity assessments along with other specialised assessments. We are trained as Best Interest Assessors and offer training to teams who deal with clients that are vulnerable. As outlined by the NHS, The Mental Capacity Act 2005 is designed to protect people who can’t make decisions for themselves or lack the mental capacity to do so. This could be due to a mental health condition, a severe learning difficulty, a brain injury, a stroke or unconsciousness due to an anaesthetic or sudden accident.

I am a Specialist Community Mental Health Nurse that offers Mental Health Capacity Act Assessments. I work with solicitors regarding private clients,wills and probate. I have a BSc in Strategic Development, a trained R.M.N. (Registered Mental Nurse), with diplomas in N.L.P (Neuro-Linguistic Therapy) and Psychotherapy, and has many years experience in Gestalt Psychotherapy and leadership coaching. Sue is registered with ENB and BACPI have worked with individuals and families, with over 20 years experience in the NHS. Then progressed to managing new healthcare services to help change the perception of Nursing. She enabled teams to provide an up to date and efficient workforce, delivering key agendas in challenging times in healthcare.

Empowering People to Grow delivers unique training and personal development to groups or individuals in schools ,colleges and universities.Specialising in acknowledging the barriers stress and anxieties pose and techniques of how to deal with them.We deliver specific sessions for schools and universities in enabling students through their transitional period of learning.We also deliver a series of motivational programmes and workshops to re-engineer thinking and equip staff and parents with the tools and knowledge to confidently address work/life issues that may affect a students learning career. Ensuring teams are working effectively and efficiently in an atmosphere of collaboration and calm,reducing absenteeism, helping to meet targets. This has now evolved into the team InspireIgnite

Lead the Management team for Custodial Health care Services development and change, across Hull & East Riding ensuring the strategic development and modernisation of prison health services.Responsible for all aspects of recruitment and retention.Facilitated Individual and team learning, cultural change, practice and service development. Ensured the service achieved targets, and responsible for a substantial budget.

Developed a new service working in the community in Primary Mental health Care.Responsibility for marketing and partnership working to enhance the service.Worked at a strategic level with lead commissioners and other partners to identify, implement and performance manage new models of service delivery.
