Massage is my private practice. As a business owner I am responsible for all aspects of the business from advertising, budgeting, marketing, human resources, continued educational training, accounting as well as massage therapy. Responsibilities also include consulting with clients to determine appropriate therapeutic treatments, client charting and documentation to record treatment plan and progress, periodic review of client's medical history, making appointments, andreceiving payments. I am also responsible for upholding the legal, ethical and educational standards of my profession as outlined by New York State Office of Professions, American Massage Therapy Association and The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

Responsible for processing weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and yearly payroll, payroll taxes for Federal and State. Type financial statements. Maintain accurate files answer all incoming phone calls and assisting in preparing for the income tax return season. Adhere to terms of confidentiality in relation to protecting the privacy of the client's financial and personal information.

I am currently the 2nd VP as well as the Website Manager. These positions have been very rewarding. I'll post more about the positions at a later time.

Secretary for the AMTA-NY Chapter • Distributes announcements and agenda for Chapter Board and membership meetings • Records attendance, votes and proceedings of Chapter Board & business meetingso Take roll call, and establish quorum at meetingso Maintain motion log• Maintains and retains Chapter records• Submits required reports to National Office including minutes from all board and membership meetings• Distributes minutes of Chapter Board and business meetings• Forwards Chapter rosters and updates to National Office at the beginning of each fiscal year and as changes occur. o Information submitted includes a list of officers, committee chairs, and unit chairs, including: full name, position, mailing address, telephone numbers, e-mail address, and dates of term. Submit to the NCRA (National Chapter Relations Administrator)• Conducts day-to-day business affairs of the Chapter in cooperation with the Chapter President and Treasurer• Shall not be chair of more than two committees• Supplies the incoming Secretary with all records and ensures a smooth transition.

Primary duty was to administer therapeutic massage for guests. Responsibilities included reviewing medical form with client to obtain history in order to determine appropriate massage therapy services and treatment. Maintain high standard of guestservice excellence.

Supervise massage therapy students during required course curriculum to achieve college credit in massage therapy clinic. Maintain security and confidentiality of client records and general orderliness of clinic, advising of massage therapy students during clinic. Supervisors are responsible for recording of hours students work in clinic per NYS requirement and fulfillment of course credit. Balance petty cash and receive payments. Offer services when ever needed for other course instruction.
