The Cabot
The Cabot is a small theatre--850 seats, so I wore many hats including writing the proposal to take over the running of the theatre with Fred Taylor. I am a hands-on professional who does what it takes to sell events. Branding, advertising, publicity, artist acquisition, creation of media events and business development are just a few of the many tasks for this non-profit theatre.•Marketing and PR for about 100 concerts & events, 200 movies, kids shows and key fundraisers per year.•Raised attendance by 600% in 3 years.•Oversaw the design process, copywriting and build out of The Cabot's website.•Daily website updating and building of shows and other events on The Cabot website•Design and development of several weekly detailed Constant Contact emails with links, photos, dates and times to every show and film on The Cabot schedule--this email sells tons of tickets!•Oversight of the design and details of all advertising: print, radio, TV, posters, street team flyers, billboards, special marketing collateral along with purchases, schedules and sponsorships.•Oversight of individual sponsor logos to Cabot advertising, billboards, marquee, and so forth•Build out of all of The Cabot's public relations work including copywriting, design and distribution of press releases and followup with media as well as media attendance, media parties and the like.•Frequent Facebook posts, boosts and advertising designs for these.•Detailed work with performing artists' management companies, booking agencies & marketing firms including marketing plans, website, images, graphics•Development of detailed marketing spreadsheets for concerts with costs per show•Announcements of shows in sync with artists/bands tour announcements•Copywriting and editing of artist bios•Assistance with certain artist acquisitions & potential board members•Invitations to movers and shakers in entertainment•Introduced consultants for our films & live concerts.•Obtained liquor sponsors.
