Executive Director March 2004 – October 2023• As founding Executive Director, established the U.S. office of American Friends of the Louvre, hired staff, formalized working relationships with colleagues at the Louvre, and implemented office procedures.• Managed operating budget, investments and grant-making programs. • Worked with the board, three Louvre Presidents, and senior staff on securing more than $45M for Louvre initiatives including funding for projects and donations of works of art and more than $10M to fund AFL operations and establish an endowment fund. • Developed successful Chairman’s Circle and International Council membership programs which led to establishing a major gifts program.• Created highly curated, fully subscribed donor trips and events in the U.S., France, and worldwide which fostered donor loyalty and attracted new support.• Raised significant funds for for major projects such as the restoration of the Decorative Arts and Roman galleries, the Studio education center and the new Department of Byzantine and Eastern Christian Art. • Provided counsel on establishing the Louvre Endowment, collaborating on a strategy for a $3M gift from its first U.S. donor. Planned an ongoing series of events across the U.S. to raise its visibility, resulting in sizable gifts.• Worked with AFL Vice Chairman on organizing the first fundraising event ever held at the Louvre and its second through fifth editions, with net proceeds averaging $1.2M-$1.5M per event. New York City Metropolitan Area

• Served as senior executive of this non-profit organization founded in 1989 to raise funds for the British Museum in the U.S.• Re-energized the board of directors by recruiting new members and repositioned the organization by developing enhanced marketing materials and membership programs. • Secured contributions of $5.6M for the Queen Elizabeth II Great Court.• Launched an endowment fund for acquisitions and research with an initial $1M gift and developed a strategy resulting in a $1M gift to endow a major gallery.• Supported growth of the curatorial departmental patron groups through membership cultivation.• Facilitated gifts of works of art for the museum’s collection.• Planned public programs and donor-focused events, including an annual 2-day symposium in New York and trips to the U.K.

Director of Development, Meadows School of Arts 1990 – 1991• Led fundraising on behalf of an art school offering degrees in studio art, art history, music, theater, dance, film and television, and arts administration. The school also has a world-renowned museum, film archives, and a music conservatory.• Completed the final phase of a $12.2M capital campaign for a new arts library, including solicitation of gifts up to $500K and coordination of an alumni-matching gifts campaign.• Secured gifts for scholarships, performances, exhibitions, and publications• Planned donor cultivation and recognition events, including the Meadows Award for Excellence in the Arts, involving a week-long series of high-profile events culminating in a gala dinner for 400 people and an awards ceremony.Assistant Director for Special Projects – Meadows Museum 1987 - 1990• Launched the first membership and development program for this museum, which holds one of the finest collections of Spanish art outside of Spain, amassed by Texas oilman Algur H. Meadows.• Led the transition of the Museum from a single donor institution within a university to a publicly funded institution by recruiting volunteer leadership and identifying individual, foundation, and corporate support as well as in-kind donations for exhibitions, education programs, and events.• Implemented communications strategies that raised the profile of the Museum within the Dallas arts, Latino, and Hispanic communities.Development Officer for Central University Libraries 1986 - 1987• Prepared a long-range funding plan identifying major prospects, including alumni, collectors, and community leaders.• Assisted in the evolution of the Friends group of the libraries from one centered on rare books to one that focused on the broader needs of the undergraduate libraries.• Planned a series of cultivation events involving speakers of international renown.
