    A summer camp for students in 6-12th grade in which they learned multi-media computer skills (movies, music, graphic design, Website design, etc.). Students worked in teams to build Websites which were entered in Thinkquest competitions. One team earned a nod from Thinkquest and was invited to the International Thinkquest Conference. At least one student is currently working as a professional animator.

    The Benerd Theater Arts Project (TAP) was a six week program offering indepth study in theatre arts to talented students in grades 5-12. The program provided quality family entertainment for the community each summer through the production of an original musical written by the Artistic/Musical Directors for the program. TAP was a member of the Sacramento Area Regional Theatre Alliance. (SARTA) and the California Educational Theatre Association (CETA) TAP was nominated for 16 SARTA "Elly" Awards and won four for excellence in theater for youth. Currently, more than 10 former students are professional actors, directors or musicians in NYC or other professional venues and many more are actively contributing to the arts in their communities.

    Co-sponsored by the Stockton Arts Commission and the University of the Pacific, celebrated the accomplishments of the youth of San Joaquin County. Held on the campus of the University of the Pacific in early May of each year, it had continuous activities such as imagination stations, a play festival, classes in visual arts, acting and dance, art exhibits, outdoor performance stages, and other activities designed to stimulate and inspire the creative imagination of young people throughout the two days of the event. Admission was free to children.
