I received an MLIS with honors and I have extensive experience as a cataloger. In addition to this, I have experience as a reference librarian and an archivist. I have worked in public, academic and special libraries. I am organized with a good eye for detail. I enjoy the challenge of making information accessible to people. I also have experience as a writer and proofreader. I currently write book reviews for two separate publications. I have a strong passion for history and preservation working to preserve St Dominic's church and create the Maine Irish Heritage Center. I have worked extensively in the local history room at the Portland Public Library. I am also employed as a docent at the Victoria Mansion. I am also employed by the International Cryptozology Museum. I serve on the library committee at the Maine Charitable Mechanic's Library,My ideal position would allow me to combine my skills as a librarian with my love for history and my training in museums.
