Promoting prompt cash flow through:- developing, maintaining and implementing credit policy and processes, including risk management, training credit staff and authors, meeting corporate and client reporting needs- horizon scanning and development of long-term strategies e.g. relating to risk, collection, relationships, technological advances- building an effective credit team through recruitment, training, coaching, leading and motivating staff- relationship management with authors and clients- alignment of team philosophy with corporate strategy- contributing to organisation-wide projects, e.g. strategic plan, quality improvement projects, improving client service, software development, training new legal and support staffKey achievements include:- Building the Kensington Swan credit team from scratch. I developed all the policies and processes, and gained the respect of initially sceptical partners. Our effectiveness is reflected in the consistently excellent results we achieve.- I have expanded the client service aspects of the role to a level where my team have become the ‘go to’ people for both internal and external clients. The high standard of client service has had a strong influence on the timeliness of cashflow recovery, and the satisfaction level is reflected in the nature of our strong client relationships.
